Of Dreams and Legends: Daikoku Futo
Wenn man im Großraum Tokyo auf der Jagd nach seltenen Autos ist, landet man früher oder später auf der Bayshore Route.
Diese Autobahn führt einmal an der Küste von Yokohama nach Chiba an Tokyo vorbei.
An den zahlreichen Parkplätzen entlang des „Wangan“ kann man immer den ein oder anderen schönen Wagen finden, jedoch hat man die größte Chance unsere Objekte der Begierde auf Daikoku Futo, einem großen Rastplatz zwischen Yokohama und Haneda zu treffen.
Am Wochenende versammeln sich hier die Freunde schneller Wagen und auch ich konnte zusammen mit meinem Kumpel Jörg, der ebenfalls beruflich in Tokyo war, am Wochenende einen Blick auf die berühmte Szenerie werfen.
If you are in the greater area of Tokyo and on a hunt for rare cars, you will sooner or later find yourself on the Bayshore Route.
This highway runs on the coastline from Yokohama to Chiba past Tokyo City.
You always can find the one and other nice car on the numerous parking spaces along the „wangan“ but you get the biggest chance of finding our objects of ambition on Daikoku Futo a big parking space between Yokohama and Haneda.
Friends of fast cars will meet there on the weekend and I was also able to take a look together with my buddy Jörg, who also was on a business trip to Tokyo.
Kaum in Daikoku angekommen, waren wir auch schon gefangen von der Location und den Wagen.

Das erste Auto, das mir in den Sucher kam: R34 GTR in „Bayside Blue“.

Kaum 10 Meter weiter stand diese Supra in einem top Zustand.
This Supra in mint condition was no 10 Meters away.
Am anderen Ende entdeckte ich ein Auto, das ich schon lange vor der Kamera haben wollte:
Die Legende, Nissan Skyline 2000GT „Hakosuka“ 4Door.
On the other side of the parking space I found a car, I was wishing to have in front of my camera for a while now:

Auch das ist Daikoku: Vans mit großer Audioanlage, die den ganzen Parkplatz beschallen können und dazu das eindrucksvolle Panorama… einmalig!
This also is Daikoku: Vans with big Audiosystems, which can bring the noise to every area of the parking space, together with the impressive panorama… one of a kind!

Später am Abend trafen wir noch Kosuke, den Besitzer des R35 GTR und seine Freunde, die mit einem R34GTR Vspec II Nür eintrafen.
Later this evening we met Kosuke, the owner of the R35GTR and his friends, who came with a R34 GTR Vspec II Nür.
Der 2009er GTR wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail aufgebaut und hat mittlerweile etwas über das doppelte der Serienleistung.
This GTR of 2009 was tuned with eye to detail and has a bit more than doubled his OEM power.
Vom R34 GTR Vspec II Nür wurden insgesamt nur 750 Stück gebaut.
Only 750 R34 GTR Vspec II Nür were build ever.
Wir haben etwas Zeit gebraucht um herauszufinden, welches Auto hier die Grundlage war.
It took us some time to figure out, what kind of car was the basic for this.
Kosuke gab uns den Tipp nochmal auf einem anderen Parkplatz vorbeizuschauen: „Tatsumi PA“. Doch kamen wir dort etwas zu spät an, einige Bilder möchte ich euch trotzdem nicht vorenthalten.
Tatsumi PA ist wohl eine der Anlaufstellen für den 500+ Club die nachts auch immer noch gerne „zügig“ über die Bayshore Route fahren.
Kosuke gave us the tip to visit another parkingspace called „Tatsumi PA“ unfortunately we arrived there a bit late, but I want to show you some pictures anyway.
Tatsumi Pa seems to be one of the meeting places for the 500+ Club, which is still driving speedy on the Bayshore Route.
Ich bin wirklich glücklich, dass ich die Möglichkeit habe so oft in Asien zu sein und solche Begegnungen zu erleben.
Ich hoffe, ich kann weiterhin für Euch diese Momente festhalten und neue Freundschaften schließen.
